At the tender age of 14, he had to secure a full-time job at McDonald’s, where he quickly realized that nothing in life comes without effort. Sonny’s unwavering drive for excellence propelled him to win “Rookie of the Year” in his first year as and agent and surpass 4 million in sales. His knack for simplicity and organization, coupled with his unwavering commitment to providing exceptional service, has been the cornerstone of his success.

Sonny Martinez, the Musical Realtor®, is a retired Band Director and administrator with 27 years of experience. As a Band Director in Texas, Sonny spearheaded numerous successful programs and was recognized as Teacher of the Year. He consistently ranked among the Top 20 teachers for an impressive 19 years. His educational background has honed his attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. Beyond his educational expertise, Sonny possesses valuable skills in public speaking, educational consulting, and negotiation. He excels at making the seemingly impossible possible, particularly for FHA and VA buyers. When necessary, Sonny is not afraid to get his hands dirty and make the required repairs.

Sonny holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s degree from Southern Methodist University, where he maintained an impressive 4.0 GPA. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Phi Beta Mu honorary band director fraternity, and an alumni member of the Kappa Kappa Psi honorary band fraternity. Additionally, he is a member of the National Realtors Association and the North Texas Real Estate Association.

 

Sonny’s primary focus and goal is to leave a lasting legacy for his son, Nate. To achieve this, he makes every transaction dedicated to Nate. Nate is a 2024 graduate of Eaton High School in Northwest ISD and is heavly involved in Special Olympics.
